I write whimsical stories. My latest ones have illustrations. I'm a seasoned writer, but not a polished illustrator. Can I do this with ai? What are your recommendations?
I've also written stories without illustrations that I want to get out there first. And I'd love to do audio with illustrations

Kling AI 01 is a great tool for both illustration and video generation - you can do both in one place. @atom mentioned in the post is the best to learn animated videos from. He is absolutely amazing, bringing his characters to life and using AI for motions.

So yeah if you are just starting of with AI images, I would āmaster that before jumping on to video. For that I recommend just using ChatGPT and if you want to experiment with more tools Nano Banana.

If youāre learning illustrating with AI from the basics, I'd probably take Timo's advice and do that first, get a hang of statics first... video is an extra complexity layer. I have a few illustration explainer posts on my stack that can get you started.š©·š¦©

My Substack is all about visual branding and I have some beginner-friendly explainers under 'Branding with AI' section. You could start there. As Timo said, ChatGPT's DALL-E is great to start with. I personally prefer Nano Banana, but there's a lot of image generator options out there, and they all have different strengths. š©·š¦©
